Volx · Last updated 12 August 2026

Volx helps you track your training with progress photos, measurements and personalised workout plans. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, who can see it, and how to delete it.

The short version. We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. There is no analytics or tracking software in this app. Your progress photos have faces automatically blurred before they are ever saved, and nobody sees your measurements unless you explicitly turn sharing on. You can delete your account — and everything in it — from inside the app.

What we collect

How your photos are handled

How AI is used, and what it receives

Three features send information to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce a result for you. Each one sends only what that feature needs, and nothing is used to train anyone's model.

Your progress photos are never sent to the AI provider, or to anyone else. The monthly summary is written from your measurements alone, never from an image. We also never send your name, email, username, or messages.

If you would rather not use these features, you can skip them: don't create goals, use the plain calorie box instead of the AI estimate, and the rest of the app works normally.

Who can see your information

What we never do

Where your data is kept

Your account data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted by Render, and your photos in object storage provided by Cloudflare (R2). Both act on our behalf and only to run Volx. Access is restricted and traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

The companies that process data for us are: Render (hosting and database), Cloudflare (photo storage), Anthropic (the AI features described above), and Expo, which delivers push notifications to your device via Apple. None of them are permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

Deleting your account

Open Profile → Delete account, confirm with your password, and we permanently delete your account along with your check-ins, measurements, goals, plans, logged workouts, food entries, messages, appointments, connections — and the image files for your progress photos and profile picture. This is immediate and cannot be undone.

Copies may persist briefly in routine encrypted backups before being overwritten. If you'd rather we handle deletion for you, email us at the address below.

Children

Volx is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. You can edit most of it in the app, delete everything from Profile, or email us and we'll help.

Health disclaimer

Volx is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Calorie targets and workout plans are general estimates. Talk to a qualified professional before starting a new exercise programme, especially if you have an injury or medical condition.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.
